Sandra Lee Park, age 66, formerly of 20 Thompson St., passed away on Thursday, June 16, 2016, as a resident of the Jefferson Manor in Brookville, PA.
She was born on May 28, 1950, to the late Irving J. and Lola (Sibley) Park, in Brookville PA. Sandy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Brookville.
She was a social person who enjoyed being around other people. Prior to life events that placed her in the care of the Jefferson Manor, she and Lola would go for a walk every night. She loved being able to visit with her friends and neighbors of the Thompson St., neighborhood. While she was at the Manor she found joy in the various activities that they provided; some of her favorites were Bingo and the Horse Races. She enjoyed music, with her favorite being instrumental piano. She also liked to watch her favorite shows on television.
She will be missed by her friends and family. Sandy is survived by 2 sisters, Barbara Nabavi of West Hazelton, PA; Debra (Daniel) Reichard of Brookville, PA; 1 brother, Keith (Tammy) Park of Brookville, PA; 2 nephews, Christopher Nabavi, and Dr. Alan Nabavi; 2 nieces, Cathy Park and Melissa Reichard; many other family members, and her dear friends that she made through the years at the Jefferson Manor.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 1 nephew, Michael Park. A private family service was held on Friday, June 17, 2016, at the McKinney – d’Argy Funeral Home, ltd, 345 Main St., Brookville PA, 15825.
Interment took place at the Mount Tabor Cemetery in Eldred Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
