Sara L. Nicholson, 76, DuBois, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at her home.
Born December 29, 1944, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late George and Judy (Perry) Gray. Her mother survives.
Sara graduated from DuBois Area High School and attended the DuBois Business College. She was a licensed cometologist for many years and worked as a cook at various restaurants in the area.
Sara enjoyed knitting, reading, crocheting, taking care of her birds, and spending time with her family and friends. She loved all animals. Sara was Lutheran by faith.
In addition to her mother, Sara is survived by five children, Scott Doutt, DuBois, Daniel Doutt, DuBois, Jayme Nicholson, Texas, Melissa (Brent) Bigney, North Carolina, and Heather Morris; ten grandchildren, Denise (Doutt) Thompson, Thomas Kinder, Amber (Kinder) Bundy, Tara Doutt, Alisha Doutt, Daniel Doutt, Ayden Snider, Ava Welsh, and Briana and Paige Morris; eight great-grandchildren, and her lifelong companion, Joe Solida, DuBois.
Sara was preceded in death by her father and her brother, Dana Gray.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, December 16, 2021 from 4-6:30 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 6:30 p.m. from the funeral chapel with Pastor Charles Lee officiating.
