Sarah I. Pedulla

Sarah I. Pedulla, age 78 of DuBois, PA, died Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Penn Highlands DuBois Hospital.

Born on September 26, 1943 in DuBois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Houpt) Borrelli, Jr.

In September of 1981 she married her husband, Thomas Pedulla. He survives.

Sarah was a 1961 graduate of St. Catherine High School and a 1964 graduate of Mercyhurst College.

After graduation she taught grade school in St. Marys and then was a 4th grade teacher at Sacred Heart Elementary School in Savannah, GA and also overseas.

She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church where she had been a religious education teacher for many years.

When she was younger, she was involved in Community Theater and could speak several different languages.

Sarah is survived by 1 daughter (Julie Pedulla of Greensburg, PA) and 1 son (Steven Frederick of DuBois, PA), 2 grandchildren (Mya and Chloe Pedulla), 2 sisters (Jolene Burley & her husband Joseph of Newberry, FL and Lisa Pettrey & her husband Thomas of Lexington, KY) and 2 brothers (Michael Borrelli & his wife Robin and David Borrelli, both of DuBois, PA).

She was preceded in death by her husband (Paul Frederick) and 1 sister (Jeanne Mullins).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 from 6 PM – 8 PM at the Baronick Funeral Home & Crematorium, Inc.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 10:30 AM from St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer and Father Matias Quimno as con-celebrants.

Burial will take place in St. Catherine Cemetery.
