RASOOLABAD, India – A mathematically-challenged groom in India was dumped by his bride-to-be when he failed to correctly answer a basic addition problem just prior to the ceremony.
Police in Uttar Pradesh said they were called to mediate between the bride and groom’s families Wednesday in Rasoolabad after Lovely Singh backed out of plans to wed Ram Baran when she discovered her intended husband could not add 15 and six.
Baran gave the answer as 17 instead of the correct 21.
