PORT CHARLOTTE, Fla. – A Florida family was shocked after a lightning strike that hit their home’s septic tank caused a toilet inside their home to explode.
The homeowners reported a plumber said the lightning must have ignited methane gas in the septic tank, causing the explosion, which ruined the home’s plumbing and completely destroyed the septic tank.
Luckily, no one was using the bathroom at the time and no injuries were reported.
