WEST PALM BEACH, Florida – Organizers of Florida’s Duck Derby said some 300 people waded into a pool filled with 6,000 rubber ducks for the chance to win prizes worth up to $5,000.
Adopt-A-Family, the charity behind the event Sunday at CityPlace in West Palm Beach, said blindfolded participants fished ducks out of the pool, and each duck was marked on its underside with a bar code that determined whether the duck-picker won a prize
