Say What?!: Escaped Steer Killed Following Three Hour Police Pursuit

DES MOINES, Iowa – An escaped steer had to be put down in Des Moines after leading police on a three-hour chase and posing a danger to area residents.

Police in Iowa said the animal was running in and out of traffic and around homes, and after hours of attempting to corral it, officers finally made the decision to put it down for the protection of the public.
