BERKELEY, California – Eight hundred goats raced through the hills above the University of California’s Berkeley campus on Friday, stopping traffic and bewildering passersby.
The unlikely stampede, which was captured on video, is part of an annual effort by to reduce the risk of wildfires.
Scientists at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, or the Berkeley Lab, release goats to graze on the dry grasses that pose a fire hazard.
