Say What!?: Australian Driver Fined for Playing Trumpet Behind the Wheel

MELBOURNE, Australia – An Australian motorist was fined $276 for tooting his horn – that is, playing his trumpet behind the wheel.

Police Senior Constable Adam West said Highway Patrol officers pulled up next to the black Toyota sedan on the West Gate Bridge in Melbourne after receiving reports about the car driving erratically.

The officers looked into the car and were shocked to see the 27-year-old man was playing a trumpet while driving.
