CHONGQING, China – A Chinese Super League soccer goalie is being fined $8,064 after the opposing team scored a goal while he was having a drink of water.
Sui Weijie, goalkeeper for the Chongqing Lifan team, was sipping on his water bottle next to the goal during Sunday’s game when Ding Haifeng, a midfielder for Lianoning Whowin, kicked the ball into the untended goal.
