SUNNYVALE, California – A California sheriff’s deputy was caught on camera dragging a suspected drunken driver out of his car seconds before it was struck by an oncoming train.
A video posted to YouTube by Karin Lizana shows San Mateo County Sheriff’s Deputy Lance Whitted dragging Nelson Gomez, 20, away from his stranded car on the Caltrain tracks Monday in Sunnyvale just seconds before a train smashed into the Volkswagen Jetta.
