KANSAS CITY, Missouri – A woman whose vehicle was stolen while picking up her daughter did her own detective work and managed to find and take back her own vehicle.
Danielle Reno of Kansas City did file a police report after her vehicle was stolen, but she went on to begin tracking purchases that appeared on her credit and debit cards, which had been inside the vehicle.
The purchases led her to an Applebee’s where she saw a woman with her wallet and keys, and then managed to sneak out into the parking lot to take back her vehicle while also notifying authorities, who the arrived to arrest the women involved.
