SAN DIEGO, California – A woman cleared for entry into the United States from Mexico was busted for smuggling 27 pounds of meth when she accidentally parked in the inspection lot.
Federal agents said Sylvia Mashiah, 33, was cleared to proceed from Tijuana to San Diego Monday night at the Otay Mesa Port of Entry, but she “mistakenly drove the vehicle to the secondary lot where Customs and Border Protection Officers inspected the vehicle,” a probable cause statement reads.
