CHARLEVOIX, Mich. – A Michigan conservation officer who responded to the scene of a nearby crash found a woman involved in the collision calming her nerves by crocheting.
The state Department of Natural Resources said Officer Steve Speigl responded to the scene of a crash less than a mile from his location in February and he opened the door of a car involved in the collision to check the occupants for injuries.
