Say What?!: Official Resigns After Disguising Man as Elderly Woman for News Conference

CRANSTON, R.I. – An official in a Rhode Island city resigned her post after dressing a male bus driver as a female senior citizen to pad out the crowd for a news conference.

Cranston Mayor Allan W. Fung’s office said Sue Stenhouse, 56, executive director of the city’s Senior Enrichment Center, handed in her resignation Friday after it emerged she had the man dress as an elderly woman complete with a dress, jewelry, makeup and a tag reading, “Cranston Senior Home Resident.”
