JENKS TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Marienville-based State Police say around 5:37 p.m. on April 22, an incident of aggravated assault occurred at SCI Forest located on 1 Woodland Drive, in Jenks Township, Forest County.
According to police, a 27-year-old SCI Forest inmate assaulted a Corrections Officer in the dining hall of the prison.
Police say as a result of the assault, the officer – a Clarion man – suffered a broken nose and a bruise under his left eye.
He was taken to Clarion Hospital for treatment and later released.
Charges against the inmate are pending.
