Several Roads Remain Closed in Jefferson County Due to Flooding

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – Several roads in Jefferson County are closed due to flooding, PennDOT says.

UPDATED INFORMATION PROVIDED BY PennDOT on June 29, 2013, at 6:00 p.m.

Changes:

Route 322 is open in Reynoldsville Borough between Route 950 and Route 310.

Route 2008 (Berry Creek Road) in Stump Creek is open between Route 119 and Buggy Road in Henderson Township.

Remains the Same From Prior Updates:

Route 949 is closed in Heath Township at the intersection of Clear Creek State Park Road. The S.R. 949 detour will be S.R. 949 (Sigel) to S.R. 36 North (Clarington) to S.R. 899 North to Marienville, S.R. 66 North to S.R. 948 East (Chaffet) to S.R. 949 (Ridgeway).

A lane restriction is in place on Route 36 between Harriger Enterprise Road and River Road in Oliver Township. Two lanes are open.

Route 3003 (Mt. Pleasant Road) is closed between Route 28 and Sheep Farm Road in Clover Township.

The local bridge at Route 1019 (Old Grade Road) in Washington Township is closed.

Give yourself plenty of extra time for your travels. Slow down and be alert for debris along the roadways. Do not remove barriers and drive over bridges — the deck may be dry, but the bridge has not yet been inspected for safety.
