Shane R. Bortz, 49 of Brockway, PA, died Monday December 14, 2015 at his home.
Born November 18, 1966 in Sedalia MO, he was the son of the John C. Bortz of Denver CO, and the late Bonnie J. Swonger Bortz.
Shane was a 1984 graduate of DuBois Area High School. He was married to Dustine M. Freemer on February 18, 1989 in Taylorsville, NC. Shane was employed as a laborer.
Along with his wife and father, Shane is survived by a step-mother Sally, two sons, Cory and Cameron Bortz, both of Brockway, a daughter Kaylee Bortz also of Brockway, three brothers, John, Todd, and Fredie Bortz, and two grandchildren.
His family will receive friends Sunday December 27, 2015 from 3 – 4 pm at the First Church of God, Freedom Lane, Brookville, PA. A memorial service will follow at 4 pm with Pastor Henry Scoff officiating.
