Sharon Marie (Pyles) Skinner

Sharon Marie (Pyles) Skinner, 50, of Punxsutawney, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.

She was born in Punxsutawney on December 29, 1970, a daughter of William Chester Pyles and Ethel Mae (Saltzman) Pyles.

Sharon was a 1989 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School and a 1998 graduate of DuBois Business School.

She worked as medical coder and billing clerk for Dr. Kamal Khalaf for fifteen years. She was currently employed by Allegheny Orthotics and Prosthetics in DuBois.

Sharon was a woman of strong faith and conviction to the Lord. She lived her life in accordance and always extended grace and compassion towards others by little acts of kindness.

On January 1, 2003, she married Ronald Lee Skinner. He preceded her in death on September 09, 2021.

Sharon dearly loved her children, Nate and Morgan and her family.

She enjoyed receiving manicures from her daughter Morgan.

She also like to make Tulle wreaths and work on crafts.

In addition to Nathaniel W. Pyles and Morgan Skinner, she is survived by three stepchildren, Andrew Skinner and wife Leslie of Seattle, Washington; Megan Skinner of Cypress, Texas; Kaitlynne Skinner of California; two step grandchildren, Chase and William Skinner; her parents, William and Ethel Pyles of Punxsutawney; one sister, April Jacklet and husband Chad of Troutdale, Virginia; one brother, William “Bill” Pyles of Punxsutawney.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Shumaker Funeral Home, Inc., Punxsutawney.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at the funeral home, officiated by Pastor Tim Michaux.

Interment will follow at Markton Cemetery.
