Sheila Louise Uber

Uber PhotoSheila L. Uber, age 48, of Olean Road, Corsica, passed away unexpectedly at her home on January 4, 2015.

Born on November 17, 1966, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late John I. and Florence (Shakley) Kocher. Sheila was a graduate of Butler Area High School. In 1988, she married Daniel E. Uber, who survives.

Sheila was a homemaker who loved looking after her family and taking care of those around her. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clarion and was active there in the United Methodist Women and the Trailblazers Sunday school class. Sheila was also a former Girl Scout Leader.

In addition to her husband, Sheila is survived by her two sons, Nolan (Mindy) Uber of Las Vegas, NV, and Evan Uber of Corsica; her daughter, Shawna Kuriger (Dana Crawford) of North Versailles, PA; her brother, John Kocher of Duncansville, TX; her two sisters, Kathy Kocher of Butler, and Rhonda (Neal) Jarrett of Temple, TX; her five grandchildren, Logan and Dylan Kuriger, and Zachary, Alexander and Charlie Uber; her beloved Aunt Mag; several brothers- and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Sheila’s name to the Living Stones Fund at the First United Methodist Church, 600 Wood Street, Clarion PA 16214 (www.fumc-clarion.org).

Arrangements are under the care of the Goble Funeral Home and Crematory, 330 Wood Street in Clarion where visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, January 9, 2015. An additional visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church, 600 Wood St, Clarion to be followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Arnie Rhodes will officiate.
