Sheriff Candidates Gotwald, Pape to Appear on General Election Ballot


BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – Voters in the GOP and Democratic parties selected their candidates in Tuesday’s primary election.

Republican candidate and current Jefferson County Sheriff Carl Gotwald (pictured above) and Democratic candidate Paul Pape have been chosen by their parties to be on the November general election ballot.

Carl Gotwald (R) received 4,111 votes on the Republican ballot, and Paul Pape (D) received 1,057 votes on the Democratic ticket in Tuesday’s primary election.

In the Jefferson County Auditor race, Douglas Kougher (R) and Edward McGinnis (R) has been chosen as the Republican nominees, and Jean Shaw (D) has received the Democratic nomination for the office.

The candidates will be on the November general election ballot.
