PITTSBURGH, Pa. (EYT) – On Monday, a Sigel resident is scheduled to sing “God Bless America” at the Pittsburgh Pirates’ home opener at PNC Park.
Senior Airman Vanessa Bartoe, of Sigel, will be performing from home plate directly before the national anthem.
The 2011 Union High School graduate is the daughter of Vince and Michelle Bartoe of Rimersburg.
She is a member of the Bradys Bend American Legion Post 488.
