ROSE TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 5:35 p.m. on June 7, a two-vehicle accident occurred on Alaska Road, South of State Route 36, in Rose Township, Jefferson County.
According to police, 19-year-old Dakoda E. Davidson, of Ludlow, and 62-year-old Charlotte L. McConnell, of Sigel, were involved in the collision.
Police say Davidson misjudged the distance between his 2012 Chevrolet Sonic LT and McConnell’s 2008 Jeep Laredo and was unable to get stopped before he collided with the rear of the Jeep Laredo which was stopped at a properly posted stop sign.
Both drivers were using seat belts.
Davidson was not injured.
McConnell suffered minor injuries.
Davidson was charged with a traffic violation.
Both vehicle were moved from the travel lanes.
Jefferson County EMS; Pinecreek Volunteer Fire Department; and McPherson Towing assisted at the scene.
