Silvestro Patalano

OI1942562332_Patalanophoto[1]Silvestro Patalano age 80 of Lynton Avenue Brockway, PA; died peacefully on August 1, 2015 at his home with his family by his side.

Born in Ischia Naples Italy on March 27, 1935 he was the son of the late Domenico and Immacolata Capuano Patalano. He was married to Anna DiIorio and she survives. They enjoyed 49 years of marriage together.

Silvestro came to New York City in 1966. He and his wife were the owners of Anna’s Bakery for many years there. They moved to Ridgway in 1988 where they operated The Pizza Shop on main street for many years. He loved fishing and vacationing in Manzanillo Mexico.

In addition to his wife Anna, he is also survived by 3 sons: Dominick Patalano; Anthony Patalano and his fiance Karen; John (Cheryl) Patalano. He is also survived by 2 sisters, 1 brother, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews both here and in Italy.

Visitation hours will be 2-4 & 7-9 pm both Monday August 3rd and Tuesday August 4th at the Carlson-Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. in Brockway.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 5th at 9:30 am at St. Tobias Church also in Brockway with Msgr. Charles Kaza presiding.

Burial will follow in St. Tobias Cemetery.

A Vigil Service will be held Tuesday evening at 8:45 pm at the funeral home.

Memorial donations may be made to The Heart Center at Penn Highlands DuBois or the Gateway Humane Society in Falls Creek, PA.
