Sister Joan M. Cameroni

Sister Joan M. Cameroni, DuBois, passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at Penn Highlands DuBois.

She was born on August 9, 1946, in St. Mary’s, PA to the late Robert and Florence Cameroni.

Sister Joan was a graduate of the St. Mary’s Catholic Schools and was a member of the Mission Helpers at the Sacred Heart from 1970-1973.

She found the “answer to her prayers” when she entered the Sisters for Christian Community in 1978.

Along with this vocation, she received her masters degree in counseling from Penn State University.

Sister Joan was quiet in nature and a reserved person.

She never said anything mean about anyone.

She lived a very humble life without complaint.

She loved living at St. Michael Terrace, and she loved pancakes.

Her faith was the most important part of her life. She loved her Catholic faith and the prayers and devotions that were so dear to her heart.

She loved watching EWTN.

Sister Joan was a very selfless and giving person. She gave of what she had.

This value continued as she was an organ donor for CORE.

She was able to help more people with the priceless gift of a better quality of life.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Cameroni.

There will be no public visitation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on October 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Catherine of Siena Parish with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
