Sloppy Science Day is Saturday at Punxsy’s Weather Discovery Center

SloppyScienceSaturdayFPUNXSUTAWNEY, Pa. (EYT) — Saturday is Sloppy Science Day at the Weather Discovery Center in Punxsutawney.

This exciting summer event takes a hands-on look at the fun side of science.

Kids will have a blast getting their hands dirty during this afternoon of learning, painting, creating and experimenting. Admission is only $10 (or $9 if you register and pre-pay in advance) and includes all activities, a sloppy snack, and time on all of the exhibits.

From 10 a.m.-4 p.m., participants will get to experience up to five sloppy, science experiments including ‘Messy Painting’, ‘Extreme Bubbles’, ‘Elephant Toothpaste’, ‘Sensory Dig’ and ‘Fizzy Science’.

So, get ready to roll up your sleeves and have fun learning about science. Things will get messy so be sure to have your parents bring a change of clothes in case you need them. Parents should also plan to accompany kids (especially those under 8 years of age).

Plus, interact with our exhibits, watch sloppy science videos in our theater, and, if you’re hungry, try a sloppy snack!

To pre-pay or for more information call (814) 938-1000, email info@weatherdiscovery.org or visit WeatherDiscovery.org.
