BELL TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say around 3:05 p.m. on January 7, a one-vehicle accident occurred on Bells Mills Cloe Road, in Rose Township, Jefferson County.
According to police, Alexis L. Burkett, 24, of Punxsutawney, was traveling south on Bells Mills Cloe Road when she lost control of her 1999 Saturn Si.
As Burkett was negotiating a left curve in the highway, she lost control of the vehicle on the snow covered roadway and began sliding. The vehicle traveled off the west side of the roadway and impacted a ditch with its right front portion.
The vehicle became disabled as a result of the crash and was towed from the scene by South Side Towing.
Burkett and one passenger, Gregory P. Geisler III, were not injured in the accident.
Both were was wearing a seat belt.
Burkett was cited with a traffic violation.
