Snow-Covered Roadway Causes One-Car Crash in Winslow Township

(EYT) – DuBois-based State Police say around 10:55 a.m. on March 20, a one-car accident occurred on State Route 950, Reynoldsville-Falls Creek Road, approximately 8/10 mile south of Gospel Center Road, in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.

According to police, 20-year-old William A. Degolier, of DuBois, was driving northbound on SR 950 when his 2003 Ford Taurus lost traction on the slush/snow-covered roadway.

The car hit the embankment on the west side of the roadway, continued across the road, and struck a guide rail on the east side of the road. The car went over the guide rail and came to its final resting position facing northwest, police say.

He was using a seat belt and was not injured.
