Snow-Covered Roadway Causes Rollover Crash on Route 119

Police car lightsNORTH MAHONING TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police say a one-vehicle accident occurred on March 4 around 10:50 p.m. on State Route 119, in North Mahoning Township, Indiana County.

According to police, Lawrence M. McGough, 54, of Rockton, was traveling north on Route 119 and lost control of his 1998 Jeep Cherokee 0n the snow-covered roadway.

The vehicle spun in a clockwise direction and left the northbound lane onto the east berm of the roadway, then rolled over once before landing upright facing south on the berm.

McGough and his passenger Lin Yong Liu, 25, of Indiana, were wearing seat belts; neither suffered injuries.

McGough was cited with a traffic violation through District Court 40-3-01, Judge Thachik.

Assisting the state police at the scene were Citizens Ambulance, Marion Center Fire Department, and South Side Towing.
