Snow in the Forecast for Tonight

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – The moment that we’ve all been waiting for – or dreading – the white stuff is on the way.

Despite unseasonably warm weather and temperatures in the 70s in early October, parts of Pennsylvania may be in for their first snowfall of the season.

Meteorologists are predicting a light snowfall for Jefferson County and surrounding areas overnight tonight.

Although no real accumulation is expected, the first snowfall of the year remains exciting – or in some cases, depressing – for many people.

According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, Wednesday evening’s forecast includes a chance of rain showers, possibly mixing with snow after 2 a.m., then gradually ending. Partly cloudy, with a low around 33. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Little or no snow accumulation is expected.
