Work, 89, served his country in the U.S. Army in the Korean War.

On December 25, 1953, he was married to Norma Snyder, who survives him. Work worked at Brockway Glass, starting in the Mould Shop and retired as a shift supervisor after 38 years of service.

He was also a member of the Brockport United Methodist Church and a member of Elk Lodge Free and Accepted Masons in Ridgway.

He enjoyed spending time at his camp, cutting grass and hunting.

Herbert’s real niche was being a gadget kind of guy that loved to tinker and fix things.
