Sophie Waltman, 90 of Valier, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at Jefferson Manor, Brookville.
Mrs. Waltman was born May 9, 1925 in Campbell, Ohio, the daughter of the late John and Emma Shanovich.
Sophie was preceded in death by her husband Ralph S. Waltman, Sr.
She is survived by her sons; John Waltman of Punxsutawney, Ralph Waltman and wife Charlene of Valier, Robert S. Waltman, Jr. and wife Dorene of Punxsutawney, George Waltman and wife Mary of Punxsutawney, Dave Waltman and wife Vicki of Punxsutawney, her daughters; Anna Mae Pierce and husband Gerry of Punxsutawney, Carol Wells and husband Ted of New Bethleham, step daughter; Ruby Bishop of Punxsutawney, twenty five grandchildren, 46 great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren.
In addition to her husband Ralph, she was preceded in death by grandsons; Bill Waltman and Flloyd Pierce and a daughter in law; Leticia Waltman.
Friends will be received from 24 & 68 pm Thursday at the McCabe Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 11 am Friday at the funeral home with Pastor Jimmy Swoggert officiating.
Interment is private.
