St. Marys, Union Enter D9Sports.com District 9 Football Rankings

St. Marys and Union move into the 2014 District 9 Top 10 Football Rankings while the top three teams remain the same led by No. 1 Karns City.

After easily getting past No. 8 Moniteau, St. Marys (6-3) moves back into the rankings at No. 9, while Union’s late-season resurrection finds the Golden Knights (4-5) in at No. 10.

Karns City (9-0) stays in the top spot after beating Punxsutawney, while Clarion (8-1) stays at No. 2 after a shootout win over Redbank Valley. DuBois (7-2) is in at No. 3 with Clearfield (7-2) moving up one spot to No. 4 and Redbank Valley (7-1) dropping a spot to No. 5 after the loss to Clarion. Ridgway (8-1) and Elk County Catholic (8-1) remain at Nos. 6 and 7 respectively, while Punxsutawney (6-3) jumps a spot to No. 8.

The big matchups in the Top 10 this week involve Karns City traveling to DuBois, St. Marys squaring off in a rivalry game with Elk County Catholic and Clearfield and Punxsutawney facing each other for the District 9 Class AAA titles.
