Stanley Dennis “Denny” Pollock

Stanley Dennis “Denny” Pollock, 73, of Rimersburg, PA, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2017 at his residence.

He was born July 28, 1943 in Sligo, PA, the son of Stanley A. and Ethel (Gray) Pollock.

Denny was a lifelong resident of Rimersburg and loved serving the people of his community.

For 30 years, he was on the Rimersburg Volunteer Fire Department and worked with the Southern Clarion County Ambulance Service.

Denny also served on the Rimersburg Borough Council and the Rimersburg Cemetery Board.

He formerly worked for Rex-Hide in East Brady and was a driver for C+K Coal Company.

Most recently, Denny worked as a truck driver for BJ Stahlman Trucking in New Bethlehem until retiring in 2003.

He enjoyed having his daily coffee at the Korner Restaurant and will be greatly missed by those who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Karen (Corliss) Pollock, whom he married February 7, 1964; sons, Michael Pollock and friend, Laurie Dolby Heasley, and Jeffrey Pollock and wife, Amy, all of Rimersburg; grandchildren, Brooke Pollock and fiancé, Brenton Shirey, and Brody Pollock and friend, Paige Wolf; great-grandchildren, Braylee and Broxon Shirey; brother, William Pollock and wife, Donna, of Knox; sister, Nancy Edder and husband, David, of McKean; brother-in-law, Carl Corliss and wife, Betsy, of Gainesville, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Denny was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received from 2 PM until the time of the funeral service at 4 PM on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Bauer-Hillis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 758 Main St., Rimersburg, with the Rev. Mark Deeter officiating.

Burial will be in Rimersburg Cemetery, Rimersburg, Pennsylvania.
