Stars Over Clarion Returns To Clarion University

CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – With Clarion University back in session, the Donald D. Pierce Planetarium will be hosting Stars Over Clarion on September 7 and September 8.

There will be showings both night at 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.

Doors open both nights at 6:30 p.m. Seating is limited.

The shows are free and open to the public.

The last show of each evening will be followed by a telescope observation session, weather permitting.

The show guides audiences through the month’s night sky and highlights any important celestial events that are happening during that month. Star lore from other cultures around the world is also mentioned.

Clarion alumnus Will Snyder created Stars Over Clarion in the fall of 2013. He hosted the program until December 2015 when he took a job as a planetarium director in North Carolina.

A schedule of events is available and updated on the planetarium Facebook page.

Pierce Auditorium is located on the second floor of the Grunenwald Science and Technology Center at 61 Greenville Avenue in Clarion.
