State Police Calls: DUI Arrest, Report of Stolen Checks

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to the following calls:

DUI in Bell Township

Police say around 11:43 p.m. on September 27, a 1997 Ford F-150 XLT operated by a known 42-year-old Punxsutawney man was stopped for a traffic violation on Rikers Road near State Route 36 in Bell Township.

According to police, the driver was subsequently determined to be under the influence.

Theft in Big Run Borough

Around 4:34 p.m. on October 23, Punxsutawney-based State police received a report of fraud/forgery.

According to police, a known 54-year-old male victim from Big Run Borough made a report of checks stolen at a location on West Main Street in Big Run Borough.

The investigation is ongoing.
