State Police Calls: DUI Arrest, Theft of Lawn Mower Battery

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to the following calls:

DUI in Punxsutawney Borough

Around 6:50 p.m. on November 23, a 2015 Dodge Stratus, operated by a known 39-year-old Punxsutawney man, was stopped for a summary traffic violation on Hampton Avenue in Punxsutawney Borough.

Police say the driver was subsequently determined to be driving under the influence and charges are pending.

Theft in Young Township

Around 5:24 p.m. on November 7, Punxsutawney-based State Police initiated an investigation into the theft of a battery stolen from a riding lawnmower. The battery was owned by a known 67-year-old male victim from Brookville. Police say the incident occurred a location on Altman Avenue Extension in Young Township, Jefferson County.
