State Police Calls: Harassment Incident, Traffic Stop Leads to Seizure of Methamphetamine

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Harassment in Union Township

Police say around 7:00 p.m. on May 1, an assault involving a juvenile was reported at a location on Howe Road in Union Township.

The investigation is ongoing.

Drug Possession in Burnside Township

Around 11:07 a.m. on April 26, Punxsutawney-based State Police intimated a traffic stop on a 2015 Dodge RAM 2500 on Shepard Lane Road near Cabin Road in Burnside Township, Clearfield County.

Police say a subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the seizure of over 20 grams of methamphetamine as well as drug paraphernalia.

According to police, both the driver, identified as 24-year-old Jarvie Goss, of Glen Campbell, and the passenger, identified as 40-year-old Steven Dewitt, of Burnside, were arrested for possession with intent to deliver.

Goss was also charged for driving under the influence.
