State Police Calls: DUI in Brookville, Woman Tries to Illegally Buy Gun


JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) — Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Woman DUI in Brookville

State Police report a known woman was stopped for a summary traffic violation at 9:51 p.m. on Sunday, December 24, at the corner of Mabon Street and Euclid Avenue.

During the stop, Cpl. Robert Means III determined she was DUI and in possession of a controlled substance.

The investigation continues.

Woman Attempts to Illegally Buy Gun

State police say a known, 44-year-old Punxsutawney woman attempted to buy a Savage Model 64 .22 caliber rifle from Walmart in Young Township on August 2, 2017.

A computer check indicated she is prohibited from buying a firearm.

The police investigation continues.
