State Police Calls: Theft, DUI’s


JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Area state police responded to the following calls:

Theft in Huston Township

According to police, around 2:50 p.m. on Wednesday, June 20, a theft was reported to PSP DuBois.

The theft allegedly took place at the victim’s previous residence, where he had left several personal belongings for over six months.

The investigation is ongoing.

DUI in Brookville

Police have released details of a DUI investigation that began around 2:44 p.m. on April 25.

According to police, a crash occurred when a 63-year-old known Brookville man was traveling south on State Route 36.

Police say the man drove off the eastern side of the roadway and down over the embankment.

He was found in possession of a small baggie containing a green substance.

This investigation remains open pending further investigation by PSP Punxsutawney.

DUI in Union Township

According to police, around 4:56 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19, a 46-year-old man was arrested for DUI after he was observed pulled off alongside mile marker 76.4 eastbound on Interstate 80.

Upon stopping to render assistance, police found the driver to be DUI.

Charges are pending.

DUI and Reckless Endangerment in Rose Township

Police say around 11:37 p.m. on Wednesday, June 13, a 42-year-old Brookville man was stopped for a summary traffic violation on State Route 36 at the Rose Township Building.

During the traffic stop, the driver was determined to be DUI.

Charges are pending.
