State Police Calls: DUIs, Drug Possession

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Drug Possession/DUI in Punxsutawney Borough

According to police, around 2:18 a.m. on Saturday, March 7, a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado, operated by 27-year-old Jud Mantini, of Ford City, was stopped for a summary traffic violation on Findley Street in Punxsutawney Borough.

Police say upon further investigation, Mantini was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol and a controlled substance. He was also allegedly found to be in possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.

Charges will be filed pending blood test results.

DUI in Punxsutawney Borough

According to police, around 2:29 a.m. on Monday, March 9, a 2008 Toyota RAV4 operated by a known 29-year-old Punxsutawney woman was stopped for a summary traffic violation.

Police say upon further investigation, the woman was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol.

Charges will be filed pending blood test results.

DUI in Ringgold Township

Around 3:17 a.m. on Sunday, March 8, Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to a residence on Dora Timblin Road in Ringgold Township for a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Police say upon their arrival, a black 2010 Volkswagen Jetta was observed parked behind the residence, with the operator in the driver’s seat, and the vehicle running. It was then determined the driver, a known 30-year-old Ringgold woman, was under the influence of alcohol. She was subsequently arrested for DUI.

Charges will be filed pending blood test results.
