JEFFERSON/CLEARFIELD CO., Pa. (EYT) – DuBois-based State Police responded to the following incidents:
Bank Assisting Troopers in Investigation of Fraudulent Activity
DuBois-based State Police investigated an incident of theft that happened in Brady Township, Clearfield County, between July 31 and August 28, according to a press release authorized on Thursday, September 14.
Police say the victim reported fraudulent charges on her debit card that were all from Amazon.
The victim—an 85-year-old Luthersburg woman—reported the fraudulent activity to her bank and canceled the debit card.
PSP DuBois and First Commonwealth Bank Fraud Department are investigating this incident.
Harassment in Sykesville
According to a September 14 issue, PSP DuBois responded to an incident of harassment on West Liberty Street in Sykesville Borough, Jefferson County, at 8:49 p.m. on Saturday, September 2.
Police say the victim and a known man got into a verbal argument before the man struck the victim in the face with a closed fist.
The arrestee is listed as a 37-year-old Sykesville man.
The victim is a 35-year-old man from Westerville, OH.
