State Police Calls: Dish Soap Thief, DUI, Burglary

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Retail Theft in Young Township

Police say a retail theft occurred around 2:00 p.m. on January 14 at Walmart in Young Township.

A known, 41-year-old female concealed $35.38 worth of items as follows:

– Dawn Dish Soap
– Purex Laundry Detergent
– 4-20 oz. Pepsi’s
– Suets (2)
– Fruit Snacks
– Fruit Rollups

The name of the thief was not released.

No other information was provided.

DUI Arrest in Young Township

Police say a DUI arrest was made at 9:39 p.m. on Friday, January 13, on Walston Road, east of State Route 36, in Young Township.

This incident occurred as a 34-year-old Punxsutawney woman was stopped for summary vehicle code violations.

It was determined that the female suspect was intoxicated, and she was subsequently arrest for DUI and related offenses.

The investigation is continuing pending blood results.

Burglary in Burnside Borough

Police say a burglary occurred at 73 West River Road, in Burnside Borough, Clearfield County, sometime between 6:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m on January 12.

The victim is a 19-year-old Burnside female.
