State Police Calls: Criminal Mischief, Assault

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Criminal Mischief

Police responded to a home at 1079 Mottern Rd. in Oliver Twp., Jefferson County, to investigate an alleged incident of Criminal Mischief on Jan. 21, 2020, at 12:30 a.m.

According to Trooper Jarrett Fulmer, he discovered a valve stem cut on the right rear tire of a 1997 Dodge Dakota.

Police say the vehicle is owned by Gary Schantz, 55, of Punxsutawney.

According to police, the damage estimate is $50.00.

This investigation is ongoing.

Assault

Police responded to Service Center Road in Pine Creek Twp., Jefferson County on Jan. 13, 2020, at 12:30 p.m.

According to Trooper Michael Malloy, a 37-year-old Emporium, Pa. man was arrested for assaulting a 26-year-old San Antonio, Tx. man.

Police say the accused shoved the victim numerous times, causing the victim to receive stitches on his hand.

According to police, charges are pending.
