State Police Calls: Criminal Mischief, DUI

Area state police responded to the following incidents:

Criminal Mischief in Pine Creek Township

On September 28 around 8:30 a.m., troopers from PSP Punxsutawney were dispatched to 704 Kirkman Road in Pine Creek Township, Jefferson County, for a report of criminal mischief.

It was discovered that during the overnight hours, an unknown person(s) stole mail from the victim’s mailbox.

The victim is listed as a 67-year-old Brookville woman.

DUI in Bell Township

Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to a DUI in Bell Township, Jefferson County, on September 24 around 8:42 p.m.

Police said a known suspect traveling in a 2012 Chevrolet Equinox was stopped for a summary traffic violation near the intersection of State Route 36 and East Park Drive.

Upon further investigation, the suspect was found to be driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Charges will be filed pending the return of blood results.
