State Police Calls: Forgery in Brookville, DUI Traffic Stop

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) — Punxsutawney-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Forgery in Pine Creek Township

According to police, an incident involving theft and forgery occurred at a medical facility in Brookville between September 1, 2016, and February 15, 2018. The actor(s) allegedly forged checks in the name of a known victim and stole an undetermined sum of money. The investigation is ongoing.

DUI in Punxsutawney Borough

Police say 53-year-oldRichard Allan Bothelho was stopped at 9:15 p.m. March 14, in Punxsutawney Borough on West Mahoning Street near Kwik Fill. After Trooper Means witnessed a traffic violation being committed, he stopped Bothelho and determined that he was driving under the influence.

Charges were filed at District Judge Douglas R. Chambers’ office.
