State Police Calls: Harassment, Disorderly Conduct

INDIANA COUNTY & JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Punxsutawney responded to the following calls in Canoe Township, Indiana County and Young Township, Jefferson County.

Punxsutawney Man Charged with Harassment, Criminal Trespass

Punxsutawney-based State Police say a 38-year-old Punxsutawney man has been charged with Harassment and Criminal Trespass following an incident that occurred on November 29 around 9;00 p.m. in Canoe Township, Indiana County.

According to police, Edward Lee Whitsell, 38, of Punxsutawney was charged following an incident at the residence of a 36-year-old Rossiter woman located on Upper Clinton Street in Rossiter.

Whitsell was previously told not to continue contact with the victim, but had since allegedly made contact at the victim’s residence, workplace, and a friend’s house.

Additionally, Whitsell also allegedly called and texted the victim.

Police say Whitsell was charged with one count of summary Harassment and one count of summary Criminal Trespass.

Reynoldsville Man Cited with Disorderly Conduct for Spinning Tires in Wal-Mart Parking Lot

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, an incident of Disorderly Conduct occurred on November 27 around 3:30 p.m. in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Young Township, Jefferson County.

Police say the incident occurred as a known 25-year-old Reynoldsville man was spinning his vehicle’s tires in the Wal-Mart parking lot for no legitimate purpose.

Disorderly Conduct charges have been filed with District Court 54-3-01.

The name of the suspect was not released.
