State Police Calls: Harassment, Drug Possession at Jail

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) — Area State Police responded to the following calls:

Harassment in Young Township

Around 4:59 p.m. on Saturday, March 10, Punxsutawney-based state police were called to a location on Elderberry Hill Road in Young Township where a verbal argument between a known man and a known woman turned physical.

No further details were provided.

Drug Possession at Jefferson County Jail

Around 4:50 a.m. on February 15, PSP Punxsutawney responded to the Jefferson County Jail for a report of a 35-year-old male inmate, from Punxsutawney, PA, in possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.

It was determined the inmate brought a controlled substance into the Jefferson County Jail. He was allegedly found to be in possession of two Suboxone sublingual films.

This incident remains under investigation.
