State Police Calls: Harassment, Identity Theft

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) – Punxsutawney-based State Police are investigating the following calls:

Harassment in Perry Township

Around 9:15 a.m. on August 28, a known individual contacted Punxsutawney-based State Police to report an incident of harassment at a location on Carney Road, in Perry Township, Clarion County.

Police say the incident involved a known 16-year-old female victim of Hamilton, Pa., and a known 7-year-old female victim from Reynoldsville, Pa.

According got police, the incident was investigated and a non-traffic citation was filed against the 16-year-old juvenile through District Court 54-3-01.

Theft by Deception/Identity Theft in Bell Township

Around 7:21 p.m. on August 9, Punxsutawney-based State Police received a report of unemployment fraud involving a known 55-year-old female victim from Punxsutawney, in Bell Township, Jefferson County.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
