State Police Calls: Indecent Assaults at SCI Houtzdale, Brookville Teen Arrested for DUI

Area state police responded to the following calls:

Two Indecent Assault Incidents At SCI Houtzdale

Clearfield-based State Police are investigating two reports of indecent assault at State Correctional Institution–Houtzdale.

According to police, the first incident was reported to have occured on May 26, around 8:10 a.m.

The victim is listed as a 39-year-old male.

In the second report, a 32-year-old male reported an indecent assault on Wednesday, June 8.

No further information was released.

DUI/strong>

Police have released information regarding an incident of DUI involving a juvenile female on May 23.

According to a release issued on June 19, Punxsutawney-based State Police on May 23 conducted a traffic stop on a 2011 Chevrolet Cruze, along State Route 36, in Oliver Township, Jefferson County.

As a result of the stop, troopers discovered a 17-year-old juvenile female, of Brookville, was operating the vehicle under the influence of controlled substances, police said.

She was arrested for DUI.

Charges are pending.

Burglary in Coalport Borough

Clearfield-based State Police are investigating a report of a burglary in Coalport Borough, Clearfield County.

Police say the incident occurred as an unknown person broke into a storage room along Main Street, and stole two bikes.

The bikes are a black and red BMX bike (value $65.00) and a purple and white, 23-inch bike (value $50.00), police said.

The black and red BMX bike was located and returned to the owner.

The victim is listed as a 33-year-old Coalport man.

The investigation is ongoing.
